Euro profile cylinder deadlatches offer flexible control of situations and can be used in conjunction with Alpro's range of electric strikes to provide the added option of remote access control. Designed to operate on doors with 3mm door gaps. Deadlocks accept standard euro profile cylinders and thumb turn.
The dead latch is designed to be used with an exit trim, such as a paddle handle. When the handle is operated the latch bolt will retract thereby allowing the door to be opened. However the “dead latching" facility means that when the door is closed, nothing can be inserted into the gap between the door and frame to force the latch bolt and thereby allow unauthorised entry.
