Product: BeTech OnDoor Access Control System

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire

The Old Market Inn is a newly refurbished public house and restaurant in the historic centre of Kettering, Northamptonshire. The development is set to be joined by a hotel on the site in late 2019. The historic building has been closed off to the public for two years whilst the dated interior has received a complete overhaul.

The project has been undertaken by Heineken-owned Star Pubs & Bars and the pub’s new manager, Jonathan Pinder. The refurbishments which have taken place have been estimated to have cost around half a million pounds and includes moving the central bar and knocking the two rooms into one light airy space with wooden floors and stripped original brickwork. The project has been fitted with a host of Securefast products via Forrest Architectural Ironmongery of Burton-on-Trent including six Smartlock Wireless OnDoor locks, a Smartlock Management system, and a single electrical latch retraction touch bar.

Securefast’s state of the art OnDoor Smartlock Virtual Network system provides the perfect solution, allowing cards to be programmed via Windows based software utilising the ASL957 Management system. The night time entrance for guests has a mains power door controller, which is integrated within the 400 series electrical latch retraction touch bar and links the panic hardware with access control and is ideal for controlling entry into a building whilst maintaining an easy escape.
